Tom Cykman
Tom Cykman is a musician and guitarist with extensive experience in performance and teaching improvisation. He was a finalist for the Music Professionals Award as an instrumentalist in 2023. He is part of Jota P’s Quintet – a saxophonist, flutist, and composer, winner of two Latin Grammys alongside Hermeto Pascoal.
In his online courses, he has over 450 students in more than 20 countries, teaching improvisation, guitar, and music in general.
With international recognition, he has toured in Argentina, Portugal, and Israel (Shablul Jazz). He was a guest professor at UFRGS and UFMG universities, teaching improvisation in the undergraduate Popular Music program in courses taught by Julio Herrlein and Lucas Telles, respectively.
